brief biographical note

I, Ramaa Sandu, M.Sc.(Mathematics) am the Associate Professor for Mathematics and Statistics at MITWPU, with 28 years of rich experience of front-end teaching. I love structured Teaching and also stand for quality. I love spending time on fixing little details and optimizing techniques of Teaching. Also I like working in a team which makes you learn faster. As the saying goes: 'Two heads are better than one.'

I have been recipient of the prestigious 'Ideal Teacher' award from MAEER's MIT Trust in 2010.

I have also worked as a visiting Lecturer of Mathematics in College of Engineering, Pune and Vidyarthi Gruha's(PVG) College of Engineering PUNE in the early years of my career. In the due course, I have been invited as a speaker to nearly a dozen of colleges. 

 

About Me

Teaching is my profession and to keep myself motivated, I am pursuing Ph.D. in Mathematics.

Music is something which keeps me grounded and sane in our busy lives. I believe it is a stress buster in this modern era. I hold a 'Sangeet Visharad' in Hindustani Classical Music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.

I truly believe in being modest so highlighting few of my achievements with a humble heart:

  • Merit Ranker in B.Sc. from Karnataka University
  • Recipient of 'Best Student Award' in G.S.Sc. College, Belgaum
  • Worked as a member of Interview Panel in Pune University
  • Appointed as a Paper Setter and Examiner in Pune University Exams
  • Served as HOD in MITCOE from 2011-2014
  • Convener, Cultural Team in MITCOE 2002-2006
  • First Year Coordinator in 2017-18, MITWPU
